Delete your HeyDividend account and data

This page explains how to request deletion of your HeyDividend account (provided by HeyDividend, LLC), what data is removed, and what we retain.

Choose how to delete

Option 1 — Delete it in the app

Fastest

Open the HeyDividend app and sign in.
Go to Settings → Data controls → Delete account.
Confirm. Your account and associated data are permanently deleted.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app, email support@heydividend.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account and data.” We verify ownership of the account before deleting and complete the request within 30 days.

Delete specific data without closing your account

You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove data. In the app you can:

Remove individual holdings or watchlist tickers.
Delete saved AI chats, notebooks, and saved screens.
Wipe the on-device personalization model Settings → Research Agent → Erase memory

For anything else, email support@heydividend.com and tell us what to remove.

What is deleted

Your account and profile (email address, name).
Your portfolios, holdings, watchlists, income goals, and any tax profile you entered.
Your saved AI chats, notebooks, and saved screens.
Your subscription record on our systems (manage or cancel billing through the App Store or Google Play).
On-device data — the locally stored, encrypted app state and the on-device personalization model — is cleared from your phone when you delete your account or uninstall the app.

What is retained, and for how long

Active account data	Deleted within 30 days of your request.
Encrypted backups	Purged from rolling backups within 90 days.
Aggregated / anonymized analytics	Retained — it can no longer be linked to you.
Records required by law	Where we are legally required to keep certain records (for example tax or accounting records), we retain only those records, and only for as long as the law requires.
